What we do
Makaira Health, LLC is building Makaira, an AI-native electronic medical record and practice platform for cardiology and vascular practices. The company was formed in Texas in October 2026 and is piloting the product with its founding practice. Makaira is not yet generally available; we will show it in demonstrations as it approaches release.
The name
Makaira is the genus of the blue marlin, Makaira nigricans — a nod to the founder's years of fishing for them out of Kona, Hawaii. The mark beside the wordmark is three signal lines converging into one.
Leadership
Jamison Wyatt, MD — Founder and Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Wyatt is an interventional cardiologist and the chief executive of a cardiology, vascular and cardiothoracic surgery group in New Braunfels, Texas, where Makaira is being built and piloted.
